The William Turner Garden is an oasis of tranquillity within Carlisle Park in the heart of Morpeth, Northumberland. The garden is free to visit and proudly holds a Green Flag Award. The gardens feature elements of a 16th century Tudor garden, a knot garden and a viewing mound. Medicinal plants are housed in the physic beds, which were used to treat illnesses and ailments. The knot garden is more formal, with interwoven box hedges and ornamental yew trees.
